Junior First Aid – for 8-13 yr olds. It’s never too young to learn the basics.
We can provide fun, practical sessions for children which focus on:
- How to get help in an emergency.
- How to phone for an ambulance and what to say.
- How to maintain someone’s airway.
- Basic first aid skills, depending on age and ability of the children
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
We can provide first aid training for Bronze, Silver and Gold award participants. As Gold Award holders ourselves we fully understand what the requirements are for each level. First Aid courses for DofE can involve either:
- Expedition Section: Basic first aid / incident management to meet the requirements of the Training section leading up to an expedition.
- Service Section: Weekly sessions spread over 3 months to meet the Service requirements. At the end of this period the participants could gain a REC Level 1 or REC Level 2 certificate, depending on the number of contact hours accumulated.
