Robin

Robin comes from a background of Mountain Rescue and has worked extensively with schools as a personal development facilitator, outdoor education instructor and first aid trainer for the last six years. Robin is a first aid instructor under the Rescue Emergency Care scheme and has helped to develop specialist courses for clients ranging from schools and television crews to large oil companies and overseas tour leaders. He has also written and delivered incident management courses for teaching staff and those working in the outdoor education industry. He is a qualified as a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and regularly helps to train Search and Rescue teams such as SEBEV and is a qualified Search and Rescue Technician. He is also a volunteer with the event safety organisation Sports Care Services, where he has been practicing first aid, incident management and rescue skills for the last 14 years. |
Claire

Claire is a qualified teacher and has a B.Ed.(Hons) in Physical Education, Maths and Outdoor Education. However, since leaving university in 1994 she has primarily worked as an outdoor education trainer and personal development facilitator, working with groups all over the UK and abroad. Claire has travelled extensively around the world and has led groups of young people on expeditions to countries such as Mongolia, Ecuador and Tibet. Claire’s background in first aid began with life-guarding and then developed by gaining first aid qualifications involving boats, canoes and kayaks. Since 2002 Claire has volunteered with Sports Care Services, providing medical cover on events involving mountain biking, walking and bog snorkelling! Other voluntary work involves being a member of the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and a dog handler with the South Wales Search and Rescue Dogs Association. Claire is a Rescue Emergency Care first aid instructor and also has an OCR Level 3 qualification in Off-Site Safety Management. |
